Preparing your items for Consignment
Even though you may not be wearing your outfit anymore doesn't mean that you want to give it away. Just like everyone else you want the best price for your items. There are some steps you can take before walking into our store that will insure your items get noticed and sold.
1. Clean, Clean, Clean! We can not stress this point enough. If your clothing is not clean, we will not accept them. No matter how trendy they are, dirty clothes do not sell. Take some time to wash, dry clean or remove hair and dust from your clothing. A little bit of effort will greatly increase the selling price.
2. Bring your best. We only accept 15 items at a time, so make those 15 items count. Bring your best 15
3. No holes, no rips, no loose seams. We reject ALL clothing that is damaged.
4. Use a little elbow grease. Take a few minutes to really look over your items. Are the buttons all there and secure? Any loose seams? Is the hem falling out? If they are then fix them. These are all things that make your items look better. And better looking items = more $.
5. Presentation is everything. Organize your clothing before bringing them into the store. Make sure a multi-piece outfit is all there. Bring everything on hangers or VERY neatly folded. Don't worry we ALWAYS give back your hangers. If the clothing is folded, bring it in a basket or large shopping bag. PLEASE NO GARBAGE BAGS
